Non-standard verse within a standard form

I'm trying to find the most efficient way to notate a lead sheet with a non-standard form. Essentially, each verse is made up of 3 couplets, except for the 2nd verse, which is made up of 4 couplets. So the form would look like this:
Verse 1
Chorus
Verse 2 with extra couplet
Chorus
Verse 3
Chorus
Verse 4
Chorus
Chorus with tag
My thinking is that the standard way to notate this would be:
Verse 1
Chorus
Repeat sign with "2nd time only" indication
Verse 2 with extra couplet
Chorus
D.C., take repeat to D.C. al Coda
Coda to last chorus with tag
This makes for a longer score than I would like. Does anyone know of another way to work around that odd chorus and still keep within a verse/chorus form (without notating the whole extra verse/chorus on separate systems)?
Thanks in advance!
