Layout of a song cylcle?

I’m sketching some ideas for a twenty minute (or maybe longer) song cycle for voice and piano, setting at least half of a set of thirty-five poems, several only two lines, some noticeably longer and one just a single line, which together form an epitaph for a war. The selected poems will be printed at the beginning with their individual titles, but in the score I intend to place only a number (Arabic) above each new setting. The whole should play without a break, with various interludes, postludes and preludes for the piano between the songs themselves.
My question is should I indent each song as a ‘new piece’? And what about the more extended of the piano interludes?
I had been intending to indent, but now I’m beginning to wonder if that might not be over-fussy with around twenty songs plus various interludes.
I’m still at the stage at which I’m not entirely sure I shall go ahead with the project; but it is something I should be able to manage even in my dotage, so all being well I probably shall. I even have the performers in mind (but they don’t know yet.)
