Incipits on Instrumentation info page

Post by hautbois baryton »

Hello all,

What would be the easiest method to include incipits within the explanatory text on the instrumentation information page of a score?

I use Finale, so I'm presuming judicious use of the Graphics Tool, but just checking if I'm missing another method.

That's the way I do it in Finale. Each one is be a separate file converted into PDF which is imported into the target document.

This is where Dorico's Flows and Frames model excels. You can just create a Music Frame on the page, and specify the Flow and Players to be used in that Frame.

The Dorico system is certainly more elegant, as I discovered when I tried it out. But the system I use in Finale also has its advantages, simplicity being one of them.
