These symbols are found at the last page of the violin part in Enesco's Violin Sonata No. 3.
What is "b"?

I haven't ever seen this either, Neera, and think your guess is a good one. OCTO, I seem to recall you posting another similar marking several years ago, perhaps from the same source or composer?

Hm, that sounds possible! "ben" as a synonym to "molto".
